We all know that absolute power creates corruption. People in power instead of serving the people start making money for themselves and their buddies and supporters and vested interest groups . so people lose  out and they become helpless. In our county many closed door deals are made, contracts are given, and friends or donors  get special treatment and favorite status  from our elected officials-politicians. There are instances when bartering is done to get funds for election . Many times special favor is done by county supervisors to a special person or individual or relative of one of their buddies. or community groups as in return they receive donations for election funds. They keep getting reelected-perpetuates problems- they act instead of servants to serve- become slowly benevolent dictator- and by second terms-they get absolute power so they become dictator- really a  white collar terrorist   who hold community under control by all means- bribe-favors-abuse of power and outright harassment too ,of good citizens. they ridicule good citizens with help of press and buddies-yes persons-stooges..    apathy develops in sincere good citizens. Our county supervisors have funds to spend without any public scrutiny or accountability and so nepotism is rampant in hall of administration.

The best way to stop corruption in democracy is to have a term limit, no body is above the law and no one should have power to serve public for more than eight years. There is no if and or buts in following this rule. Our county supervisors have perpetrated misery of people by staying too long in power even though they are elected to serve people. Let us remove all of them. I declare as a county supervisor I will not take any salary. I will make sure that county administration become public service oriented and accountable to the people of county
